Questions

What does it mean to rekey a lock?

We change the pins inside the lock and cut new keys. The lock stays, and the old keys stop working.

Is rekeying cheaper than new locks?

Usually, yes. You keep your hardware and pay for the work and new keys, not new locks.

Can all my doors use one key?

Often, if the locks are the same type and brand. We check on the visit and tell you before we start.

Can I rekey my condo unit door?

Usually, but check your building's rules on unit locks and master keys with management first.

Lock rekey: hear the price first.
